The React layer only draws; the computation happens in stremio-core, a Rust engine compiled to WebAssembly and running in a Web Worker. Stremio Web is the official client built on that split, served at web.stremio.com. Catalogs come from addons, so what appears in Discover depends on which addons you install. A Stremio account carries the library and Continue Watching across devices, and the client handles Chromecast, subtitle styling and full keyboard playback control. Community translations cover more than 50 languages, and the page installs as a PWA. It ships under GPL 2.0.
