Shitty

Shitty calls itself a serious terminal emulator with a stupid name. The tagline is blunt (memory-unsafe and faster than yours), and the design goals behind it are concrete: low latency, fast startup, and predictable resource use. Terminal state is kept on the CPU while cells are rendered through native compute backends, Vulkan on Linux and Metal on macOS. For people who care how many milliseconds their terminal spends between keypress and glyph, this is that kind of project.
