Build Your Own X

Build Your Own X is a GitHub repository for programmers who learn by rebuilding things. It collects step-by-step walkthroughs for writing your own operating system, web browser, database and other systems most developers use daily without ever seeing the inside. A community around the repository fills in the gaps when a walkthrough runs out. Nothing here is a library to import; the point is to write the thing from scratch yourself.
