Desktop browser viewports in this sample have a median height of 920 CSS pixels, and the single most common desktop size is 1920 × 920 at 11.7% of observations. ScreenSize.net compiled the Viewport Reality Report from anonymous sessions on its own site between June and August 2026: 1,098 raw observations, 962 of which passed its quality rules, split into 832 desktop and 130 mobile. Tablets are left out for lack of sample, and older tablet readings were dropped because the original classifier could mistake touch-enabled desktops for tablets.
An interactive calculator takes a content width or hero height and shows what share of observed viewports it fits, alongside density plots and percentile frames. The mobile median width is 400px. The report states that it is meant for testing layout constraints, not for estimating global market share.
