OpenAI keeps this repository as a set of worked examples for building Codex plugins. Each plugin gets its own directory under plugins/ with a required .codex-plugin/plugin.json manifest, and everything else is optional: skills, MCP configuration, app definitions, commands, hooks, plugin-level agents and assets. The more complete examples cover Figma design system rules and Code to Canvas, Notion planning and meeting notes, SwiftUI work for iOS and macOS, web app deployment and payments, and Expo with React Native, alongside smaller Netlify, Remotion and Google Slides bundles. Users who sign in with an API key get a separate marketplace file from the default one.
