Pieces is a social network built around people rather than brands. Posts, galleries, documents and stories that would normally be spread across several different services collect into a single home, and sharing and conversation happen there instead of somewhere else. Profiles are customizable, and the community tools exist to put you next to people working on similar things. Artists and writers are the obvious constituency, along with anyone hunting for people on a similar wavelength. What it sells is less a feed than a personal space other people can walk through.
