The original archive is slow to load and awkward to search, and re-hosting the same collection is the whole fix, so the holdings and the catalogue still trace back to UbuWeb. Browsing is organized by artist, by collection and by year, which matters when you arrive without a title in mind and want to graze. Film students and anyone who has bounced off experimental cinema because a video would not start are who it exists to keep from giving up at the loading screen.
