Vocal Slice

Vocal Slice is a Mac and Windows app that turns audio editing into text editing: it transcribes a file locally with OpenAI's Whisper model, and highlighting a phrase in the transcript selects the matching region of the waveform for word-accurate trimming and export. Transcription and slicing both run on your own hardware, so audio never leaves the machine. It reads WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A, AAC, and OGG, and costs $29 a year for three machines after a seven-day trial.
