SmartTube

Built for Android TVs and TV boxes, SmartTube is a free, open-source media client that plays content from public sources in an interface laid out for the TV screen. Playback goes up to 8K and 60fps with HDR, speed is adjustable, live chat can be shown alongside a stream, and SponsorBlock is integrated so sponsored segments can be skipped. It runs without Google Services and is distributed through GitHub releases and F-Droid. Phones and tablets are not supported, the comment feature is marked unstable, and the project notes that voice search and casting can lag behind the official apps depending on the device.
