Qwen Scribe runs transcription and dictation locally on Apple Silicon, which means audio never leaves the machine on its way to text. Dictation is system-wide rather than confined to one editor, so it works in whatever window has focus, and the transcript keeps up in real time as you speak. It integrates with macOS directly instead of sitting behind a web app. The hardware requirement is the flip side of the privacy story: Apple Silicon only.
